Blog 7: A Career-Related Website
Hi everyone! So this time I'm going to talk about a carreer-related website, wich it's Google Earth Engine: https://explorer.earthengine.google.com/#workspace
This website is really complex, I'm still learning how to use it in my carreer. But, in many features, is have access to many images from different satellites in the space right now, even many images from the ones that from today are not working anymore. This is a tool for Geographers and many other carreers that use images to make interpretations of, for example, urban growth. Right in the bar that is in the up section, you can load any satellite you need for your research in the moment of the history you need (in the case the information exists :P).
We are just learning how to use it, so I would say that I visit the site every week or one times every two weeks.
I live this site because it is a good way to get better sources of information for our projects and better qualities images of the place we need to study (better than, for example, google earth or maps normal site).
This is an example (Bermuda) of the images that you can get:

there is an option that projects what some parts of the world will be like if the planet's temperature increases
